Oh btw, Ace2cloud98 is a friend from home, and it was actually his DS I tried :x.
I also think that the DS is way too bulky and big, and kills the whole 'portable' thing.

I think you're really jumping to conclusions, especially if you've never experienced a touchscreen on a portable device before.
I've been using touchscreens for over 5 years now on PocketPCs. I've seen these devices move from 33mhz up to 400mhz, and the games go from pacman to quake 2. Now, can you believe, with all that horsepower, and potential for gaming, that the PocketPC market have NOTHING as innovative, OR AS FUN as the DS's few launch titles that have touchscreen capability? It's true, and don't rush in saying, "yeah, but who makes games for PocketPCs anyway?" Try Namco, Capcom, Eidos, and Microsoft to name a few. In all of their games, not once was the touchscreen used in any manner as it is on the DS.
That said, I KNOW the DS' touchscreen has thus far, been used above and beyond ANYTHING else on the market with it's own touchscreen.
