RE: Who here is tired of waiting for the DS

Hey guys wats up.
I was just wondering of ur perspectives of Why u guys would pick DS over the PSP or if u would rather have the PSP or both!
Myself personally i think both Handheld platforms are both pretty amazing. Lots of ppl go around saying one sucks and they go for the other but im not one of those ppl. I think both platforms look cool. They both have their pros and cons. Me myself i am a big gamer I like different games and different ways to play games. Sony offers music, movies, graphics and a bigger screen. With all do respect i give them a 6/10 for the handheld. Why? because those things dont really enhance the gameplay. It only enhances on what the PSP can do Graphics yes everything else no. DS Changes everything. First of all we got the dual Screens which is off the bat great, then u got the touch screen and then u got the downloading multiplayer playing. Most of the DS features are to enhance the gameplay. PSP concentrates on different types of things to do. Therefore thats why i think the DS is much better the PSP yet i wouldnt mind having a PSP to play and to see movies on the go etc... but i think i wil lbe spending my money on the DS and see if the future brings me a PSP.

So wat do u guys think?

RE: Who here is tired of waiting for the DS

As one of the great strategists said "it is foolish to under estimate your enemies". It is all a psychological warfare.

Now seriously: I want both of them but my heart belongs to the DS. Same way as I have three cars but there is only one that I call "My ride".

If I will have both of them there will be a Sony PSP and my handheld gaming machine (DS)

The DS will be my primary mobile gaming device. The PSP, on the other hand, will be my multimedia portable device. That is, if I get a PSP at all.

The DS will be my first and it will be absolutely amazing.

The PSP certainly looks nice but I honestly cannot see it doing as well... i guess we'll see...

I just think the PSP dont appeal to me as the DS does,
The PSP is just a playstation, that you can play on the bus (boring i might add).
The DS is something new, something that hasnt been done before!

Thats why im getting me a DS, not a PSP.

ds vs. psp

Exactly, Nintendo have turned a step forward in the handheld market by changing the way we play games - not just how they look.

They say they want to do this for their next console - Revolution - focus on ways of playing rather than graphics. And this is perfect example that they are more than capable of doing so.

I think i may edit this post so it is called: Why WOULDN'T you pick DS over PSP :-)

No, they're being really quiet on this new system. Until they do announce something, I'll have my DS to play!

DS in my wal mart!!

I have chosen the nintendo ds because sony has not gotten their product straight. The battery life, development limitations, durability, and umd skipping are just to troubling. The nintendo is a much more durable and reliable product since nintendo has been in the handheld market for so long. Plus, the innovation of this product is not gimmicky, it is very mature and a blend of a game system and the features of a pda. cant beat it.
