how nintendo plan to get people online!

well as there we speculation of if you would need a router to play the ds online or have a us stick plugin. well the answer is:

"Nintendo is also making things easier for gamers without wireless Internet connections at home. According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Nintendo will release a wireless USB network adapter that can be hooked up to the PC and act as an access point for the DS and Revolution. Specific details on the USB adapter haven't been disclosed."

this is good news as people who dont have a router will be able to get on line with there ds and revolution as long as they have a pc and broad band.

Thats is sweet. I have been waiting for this since we dont have a wireless router and we really don't want to spend money on one.
I hope it does'nt cost to much!

you know nintendo it wont all it is, is a usb stick with the right wires signal that can pick up the ds and revolution signal but this all so means that the revolution and ds will be able to comunicate with each other as they use the same frequency but this does not mean that they will make game that make them comunicate with each other.

thats not the point so do i but if you go round to someones house like family or firend then if you have that all you have to do is plug it and your online as long as they got broadband so i will problay get one because of that.

And in fact, the needn't have broadbrand either (if I understand correctly).
All they need is internet and your set.

Great to hear. Im still curious how existing wireless routers will communicate with the DS and vise versa. I tried to see if my DS could see my BT router and it got nothing. The only thing i can think of is a firmware update that has the router picking up DS signals. Also what if i have wep encryption enabled? how will i enter my security details? im guessing its all in the DS OS already and when i click on connect in the download section it will ask for a password. All guessing though.
But great to see this being released. it will save you a fortune if you don't want a wireless router.

Cool. I'll get one of these so that I can use it at friend's houses since I'm the only one with an incling as to what a wireless router is.
