Make Metroid rivals into friends!
Want to know how to make a rival from Metroid Prime Hunters a friend? There's some requirements first... The rival you want to make a friend should be on often enough for you to grab his attention easily, and he should know how and be willing to do what you do. The trick? Change your name into a message, best if you can fit the rival's name (or recognizable shortened form of it) and a question mark at least, once both of you are communicating through your names you need to think of a good way to exchange friend codes, either by putting it in your name in 2 parts or by giving him a different contact info such as your AIM or a website with your information. It's pretty much stright forward once you're both communicating through your names though, just use your smarts to get into a better form of chat quickly because using your names can be very time consuming to get a simple message across. Just be aware that you don't really know anything about the personality of your rival until you talk to him in a much less restricted way such as the text or voice features.
My story is that one of my rivals changed his name to PILOT51FC?, so I followed suit and changed my name to AIM:P51PUB. Unfortunately I couldn't access my PC at the time so we had to continue the name changing, I mostly tried to get him to call me on Skype which he apparently knew nothing of, and when I got frustrated I decided to log onto AIM with my cell phone (expensive!) to exchange FC's and from then on we talked in Metroid. My main problem with that situation was that my rival kept hosting a game for me to join and I had to join in order for him to see my message, then I had to wait for him to close it so I could go change my name, as if he didn't know about the friends/rivals online list.
Once we were talking on Metroid he wanted me to add his brother, so I asked if his brother was annoying and he said no and I took his word for it and he gave me the FC. Almost as soon as he (the brother) could communicate with me, he asked me to join his clan and said "plzz" twice with lots of ?!?!, I explained that I was waiting to see if "my fansite" would start a clan before I considered it but he didn't want to accept that answer, he essentially wanted me to join right then. So yeah anyway we need to start our own Metroid clan so I don't need to play with that kid (who is 5 star rank BTW) all the time, I'm hoping we get an official clan going that covers all games.
