Message to snakers, from Nintendo.

All right, everybody, it's time to rev up those karts!

A couple more things before we get going:

1. I have to again stress how important it is that we keep our icons
and our screen names squeaky clean. If there is any sort of profanity,
all NP staffers will have to disconnect, and the matches will be over.

2. We frown on snaking, but it is allowed, as it is part of the game.
Many of you asked if we snake--we do not.

3. Please do not connect for a heat if you cannot finish all four
races. No disconnecting!

4. Some of you asked if we could change the time. We cannot. We will be
racing this Wednesday, January 18th from 3PM to 5PM pacific standard
time. Maybe some of us will keep going a bit later than that, though.

5. Please keep our friend codes confidential.

The point of this whole thing is to have fun. It is not a contest, as
there is nothing to win. It's just a chance for us all to play Mario
Kart DS together. This is sort of a test run. If it goes well, we'll
definitely do it again sometime. Forum master Andy Hartpence will also
be joining the races, so keep an eye out for him--he's good! As for the
rest of us . . . we'll see. We're a bit out of practice. Good Luck!

im not a fan of snaking myself. ninty should have balanced it better. (eg cant use weapons while boosting or something). this technique does render alot of karts redundant. its a shame they cant patch the game.

Well to be honest, Nintendo obviously didn't do near enough research before they released the game and wi-fi. They say that you shouldn't disconnect from a match... what the heck are you meant to do if someone is snaking all the time and you don't have a chance? ITS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE SNAKING RETARDS!
