I dont see why we'd restrict snaking, but if you have any questions our tourny director for this tourny can help. If you click the link in my first post you can ask about it there, or check out his profile for information on how to contact him with questions. He's pretty on-the-ball so you'll get your answer pretty soon after asking him.

aw, darn. I hope we can work things out somehow cause I'd love to see this work out. Snaking is allowed in official time trials recorded by Nintendo so we thought it would be generally excepted.

We'll see what we can do to accomidate you guys the best we can.

I never knew they recorded time trials, where are they? I still think they don't really like snakers online since it makes many newer casual players not like playing online, assuming they realize the rival search doesn't work as it should. Time trials are a different story, they should be allowed to use whatever can be taken advantage of in the game, with only the possible exception of an extreme exploit like falling out of the track to reset the kart half a lap ahead (as I just saw on a Rainbow Road classic time trial on GBA), which should probably be in its own category rather than included with the rest or left out entirely.
