To get our Animal Crossing members more into the groove, I've decided to host a contest throughout this week. (Ive talked to a few people so far and they think its a good idea if done correctly =P ) Heres how the contest will work:

Basically, it will be 2 contests... a fishing and a bug catching contest. First thing i might want to warn everyone about.... there may not be a winner every day, due to the extreme rareness of certain bugs/fish. The contest will be 5 days long, starting tomarrow August 14th, and ending Friday, August 18th.

Each day, once you enter my village, I will tell you a bug and a fish I want to be caught. (Every1 will get the same fish/bug combo, so dont worry). When entering my village, you will only be allowed to bring your bug catching net, and your fishing pole. If you are caught with anything else, and trust me I will catch you >=) , you will be automatically disquallified. Also, if you disconnect or leave my villiage at any time during the day, after being told the bug/fish combo, you will be disqualified.

Throughout the week, the difficulty of fish/bugs to gather will increase, but so will the prizes! The first day I expect there to be winners in both fish and bugs, and each will recieve 10 k bells. The second day will be 20 k bells, etc. etc. (This is for 1 bug and for 1 fish.... meaning a if you are lucky enough, you can win 20 k, 40 k, 60 k, 80 k, and even 100 k!) Example: Day 3, some1 catches the bug of the day and wins 30 k. Hooray! A little later, some1 catches the fish of the day and wins 30 k. Yippie! At this point, the contest is closed for the day. (only 1 prize given out per category per day). The reason I said there may not be winners every day, because the 5th day will be the rarest bug/fish of the season. (heres the hint... the bug of that day is quite "elusive").

Basically, there are a few purposes in this contest. One being to get more people of the forum together and get to know each other (if ur gonna be fishing in my town all day... u will definately be talking to get rid of the boredom XD). Also, it is to help the people build their bug/fish museums and collections. And last but not least... its gonna be fun as hell =).

(I will probably edit this later because i probably forgot something here and there.... lol)

AH i remembered what i forgot to say! If you want to check out my town today before the contest, send me a PM with ur FC code and all that fun stuff, and ill give u mine, and we can throw a little shindig =)
