Battlefield 2142 Confirmed!

I'm going to get this out now so that I can collect a big "I told you so" if I'm right. With the recent announcement of the Titans feature (enormous invadable flying gunships), what appear to be bases, and the basic post-apocalyptic storyline causing a massive battle for the control of the remaining land, I suspect it's an MMOFPS! It makes perfect sense! That would explain why it doens't look incredibly better than Battlefield 2, and why it's under such secrecy...

as it uses a modifyed version of the bf2 engen which was orgamly for bf2 was ment to be 128 players online but they had to cut it down to 64 players online in the end as the engen could not support that much... that is they the maps looks like they could continue on outwars as there were ment to be bigger as well as some brigest in some of the maps just go into the out of bounds zone ware if you stay there too long you will just be killed.

im gonna do a double post bump to bring this up cause I have a couple questions. Just got into Battlefield, purchasing 1942 today, found a great deal, and pilot told me it was worth it. anyway, when is this coming out? I heard as early as August...meaning that this is being rushed, and will prolly suck...and what is this Titan thing you speak of shadow?

That's one thing I don't like, how they're transitioning the series from historical to future fiction. I'd be fine if they made it a different series, but 2142 just intrudes on the greatness that 1942 and even 2 was IMO, which is what EA is good at doing of coarse. They never should've fired the original 1942 devs, they made something great for EA for a change and EA treats them like trash.

but thats the way EA is pilot. what annoys me the most about BF1942 is the fact there were games out at that time, but their water didn't look like newspaper after being blended in a blender :|
