Yeah. Microsoft wishes to dominate the online market, but with the nintendo and playstation games having free online, and Microsoft having even MORE ways to have to pay for it, I doubt it will. Take a look at this. If this isn't proof of microsoft's capitolism and selfishness, I don't know what is.
"The company's online service has been a continued success, and there's no doubt it will be an even bigger part of Microsoft's future plans. There's money to be made online, and Microsoft wants to find it. Part of online integration into the next Xbox will be the introduction of "micro-transactions." These are small, impulse purchase for additional content into games people already own that will become an every day part of games on the next Xbox. "Imagine players slapping down $.99 to buy a one-of-a-kind, fully tricked-out racing car to be the envy of their buddies," says Microsoft. Also, expect to finally see download movies, music and other multimedia make a big splash on consoles."
