GBA Platformers?

Summer holidays are coming up and I'm still not sure what to buy. I'll probably get Chaos Theory for the DS slot, and maybe two GBA games... I'm quite interested in the platformers the GBA has to offer (I'm presuming the Super Mario Worlds are considered platformers) and am wondering what is the best?

I've heard Yoshi's Island, Super Mario 3 I believe, is a pretty good game, do you agree with that?

And what other similar game would you recommend?

*Expects token "Fire Emblem" from Mormon :D*

well, for GBA get
Super Mario Advance 4:Super Mario Bros 3
and
Super Mario Advance 3: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
or instead of that the much better
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World.

My bro has Yoshi's Island and it isn't as good as the others.

somewhat. mario 3 takes a while on the last world and mario world is a little hard. i played mario world on my snes so it wasnt that hard for me, but i got farther than i ever did on my snes. yoshis island is the hardest of em all.

I know this is bad, Mormon, but I look at the graphics of Fire Emblem and go "Nah, it looks rubbish!"

If the games are hard, LKR, I will only get one game. So which one is it ;)

there not that hard. get Super Mario Bros 3, and if you want another one, get Super Mario World.

The graphics are GBA graphics, they're good enough for a strategy game, the fight scenes are better (especially magic attacks), and the storyline rocks. It has amazing replay value for a single player strategy, and the characters are awesome. Strategy games can still be fun regardless of graphics. Starcraft has horrible graphics by today's standards, and it is still played by thousands online. My favorite game of all time is X-Com: UFO Defence, and that's an old DOS game.
