Heard of Test Drive:Unlimited?

Well have you?? I picked up a Game Pro mag. (don't know if it's new or not) and had a game getting preveiwed called Test Drive:Unlimited. I don't know if any of you are familier with the Test Drive series, but there hasn't been a good one made since Test Drive: Le Manz for Dreamcast. Which I do own, and is very very cool. Teat Drive: Le Manz got a 9.4 form IGN.

Everything in the game is in the exact place it is in real life. Except adding some tweaks in some roads, it's all life like. TDU(Test Drive:Unlimited) is a bunch of games in one. Need For Speed since you can costomize your car, but not with tuner cars. The Sims, since you have a house, can add stuff to it also costomize your driver. And others that I can't think of right now. Hopefully, this game will come out for all of the next-gen consoles, and will be better than Test Drive: Le Manz. :) Sopposedly coming out Summer 2006, but some think it may be Fall 2006.

Test Drive 5, or at least I think it was Test Driver 5, was the first ever game I owned so the series will always have a place in my heart. I haven't really fully enjoyed a car racing game since TD5 though I doubt this will change as I haven't got a Xbox 360... yet.]

One little question: How did IGN give it a 9.4 when the game is hitting in either the summer or autumn? Surely they can't have got their hands on a copy this early especially with the release date in doubt.

No no, I was talking about Test Drive Le Manz, saying that there hasn't been a good game in the Test Drive series since Test Drive Le Manz(Test Drive 5 came out before Le Manz.). And this may be the one that will be near it in quality.

I'm pretty sure TDU is going to be a car MMO, or, as Atari describes it, a Massivley Open Online Racer, which sounds very cool. Focus on online play has me diggin' this game, and the fact that you can customize all kinds of stuff for you and your cars. Definitely one of the 360 games that I've been looking forward to.

Test Drive: Off-Road for PS1 was one of the first few games I've personally (non-family) owned. It made for many hours of fun in my mid-early years of gaming.

i also had test drive: off road for ps1... although i had gran turismo 1&2 so it didnt get much love =/
