Anyway, just brought it home, off to start it up on my DS. BTW, I noticed they have begun to advertise on the back that you can play it both on the DS and GBA.

Tell us how it is, SM. I've had an urge to pick this game up myself (I've enjoyed the entire Fire Emblem series so far).

Ah dang. Oh well, very fun stuff. I set it to normal so that I wouldn't have to worry about all those lengthy tutorials, and got into it. I beat the prologue, and missions 1-3 before I took a break to check touchds. I just got two more new units, on of them being a new unit type!

is it better than the other one for GBA? or not able to compare yet?

i haven't had much time, im only on chapter 6. it is more enjoyable than lyn's quest so far though...

Yeah, you actually get a lot of units starting early. I have one gripe with it though, the beginning units are a bit unbalanced. Your paladin is rediculously strong, and some of the units you get aren't very strong at all. I've been using the paladin as little as possible and giving tons of xp to others.

I suppose those places of infinite enemies would balance that...

yea exactly what i've been doing

the paladin is extremely reminiscent of Marcus though, because he was a juggernaut at the beginning of Eliwood's quest too.

Yeah, but this guy keeps going strong, even if I don't use him at all. Marcus started showing weakness about five missions in if you didn't use him, but this guy is way too tough...

One more thing I've noticed. They've been doing some balancing for the new units. Notice the paladin does not have the ability to use axes, but the great knight does.

Oh, and one more thing new: You don't exist. In the others, you were a traveling tactician, not exactly having anything to do with the storyline, but it was a nice touch. That has been done away with.
