I've played quite a few translated games. They suck horribly. Some moron with a sense of humor totally messed with the script of FFIII (japan)

I think the issue here is you all are thinking way more about RPG's like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem while I'm thinking of the awesomeness that is games like Naruto, Bleach, and Jump SuperStars...

You seem to be ignoring something... Why they don't bring Naruto, I don't know, but I seriously doubt the issue is translation. With Jump the issue is the dozens of licenses involved, and with Bleach... well, those games are coming.

Errrrr...they HAVE brought over Naruto. I know, I just won two of the English games in a contest (hence the sig). But the Naruto that was just released was released 3 years ago in Japan, where they're on the 4th iteration (which I imported, and is the best video game of this generation).
What took so long? Well, they didn't start the English version until last year, since the show wasn't in America yet. What took the about 9 months of development was all translation, that is, voice translation. I'd prefer subtitles myself, since the English voiceactors suck... To me, it seems the answer is an organization/company/3rd-party needs to be created w/ the sole purpose of helping to bring licenses and translations for video games all over the world... ...oh, and region locking in any system is just f'in wrong...

Well frankly, the Japanese voice actors could be rediculously cheesy and you wouldn't know the difference. I mean... chuck norris cheesy.

yea but most japan games have a certain feel to them and when you add english voices they just dont work as well as subtitiles.... just feels that the english voices are out of place...

If you're going to go that far, just cut out the voice actors alltogether and make it just text! You were just reading it anyway.
