man it would be so funny at e3 that sony announce that they decided to drop Blue ray Due to reasons they would not like to discuss that would make my day

for anybody not in the loop Blue ray is like the DVDs of the 80's to expensive and unreliable

How did Sony get into this thread o_O;; But anyways, I've heard of Blue Ray and it's large capacity. And how much would it cost per disk? And why is it unreliable?

But that said, I'm agaisnt Microsoft in the video game business (outside of computer games) but atleast the Dreamcast failled, because otherwise Microsoft might squeze Sony and/or Nintendo out of the business.

LoL... you guys crack me up. Take a look around, the name of the next X-box is "Xenon", though some call it unofficially the "neXt-box". Lame as hell, and I'm sure I'm not all that trustworthy either... but scope it out. -.o

Dang it... I didn't even now anyone had posted here thanks to that forum glitch... Anyway, I'd take any rumors like this with a grain of salt the size of... the xbox.

well no one knows but sony i guess abot price but eraly DVDR where $30 each when they first hit the market and a reader was $1000 so you do the maths blue ray has the ablity to be 5 times larger then a dvd unless the market is flooded by the disc and is take to like ants on a maars bar i dont think its a good idea to use an un proven format on a already DVD dominant market

as far as not being reliable, why cause i just signed up to say that the virtual reality thing is false? so far my record of accuracy stands at 100%, so how is that bad?

to tell you the truth, i haven't really been over in the millenium buildings where the xbox group is in a long time, since the fable release party, so i haven't really seen anything with my own eyes, but i am more impressed with the features they are putting into the dashboard and xbox live than anything else. Don't worry, you'll see all the cool stuff in the summer. Especially after e3, cause the amount of marketing that is going into this is insane.

I shudder at the next gen console wars. They are getting more distinct with every new release.

The development kits are called Xenons, and currently no third party has a real devkit, just a powermac G5 with dual processors. First party devs get the real Xenon devkits first, but I've not heard rumor of them going out yet, just Sony's Cell devkits for the ps3.

I could divulge some tasty Xbox 2 rumors, but I'm afraid I might get in trouble. I will say this though, XBOX VRAM > ALL.

Oh, and noone knows the name of the system yet. Yes there are rumors, but not one dev I know has recieved a concrete name on the machine, just the devkits, Xenon.
