I have BF1942, BF1942:SW, BFV, and BF2. I play both BF1942 and BF2 regularly, BF1942 being my favorite of the two. I have the Desert Combat (+Final) mod for BF1942, but I rarely play it anymore. I hate BF2142 because EA is clearly juicing it too far, I liked the realistic and historical feel of the previous games in the series and going into the future like that just ruins that feel.
I got BF1942 for Christmas of 2002, the same year it was released, because The Screen Savers on TechTV was playing it on their LAN Party and it looked really fun (as it has proven to be for about 5 years). Not many current BF1942 players have had it for that long. I don't really like the idea of having an official clan for a PC game, let alone a clan for anything seeing how our DS clans failed miserably. I'd rather we just put together some sort of group communication standard for us to use, much like a clan but without calling ourselves a clan, or at least not a TDS clan. It's clear that if we want to work like a clan, we'll need to communicate like a clan, that means using voice chat while we play and maybe even when we aren't playing. I would obviously be doing the voice server stuff since I seem to be the only one that cares anyway. As far as who leads, I don't think it's necessary if we're just a group of friends that play together. If we want to operate almost exactly like a clan and have a leader, I say we go with whoever has the most experience out of all the people that have all or the most of the games we intend to play (BF1942 and BF2 is what I understand), or we could have a leader for each game. We should decide on the games we play based on the percentage of group members that have which games, like 75% of members need to have a game for it to be official for our group. At least for now we intend to stick with only the Battlefield series, right? |

I think everyone who wants to be in this "clan" should have each other on Xfire, since it's a very powerful tool for gamer buddies and especially clans. I noticed I don't have Canadaboy on my list, but I think I found him just now and sent a request.
I checked everyone's Xfire profiles and I laugh at Mormon and Sasuke for thinking they come remotely close to being worthy of leading a BF clan, you guys better say it was a joke if you want to keep your dignity. I tend to get very detailed when I try to prove a point, so bear with me. Mormon is clearly dedicated to WoW with 930 hours, with BF1942 being the highest in the BF series at 7th with 15 hours, BF2 is 22nd and BF2 Demo is 25th (2nd from last) both with <1 hour. After WoW is Warcraft 3 with 359 hours and Guild Wars with 230 hours, then Solitaire with 42 hours. He's clearly a fan of RPG/strategy games rather than FPS. Sasuke is a Halo fan (153 hours) as I'm sure everyone knew, as well as Guild Wars (107 hours), then Counter Strike: Condition Zero (59 hours). Clearly an FPS fan with a slight mix of RPG/strategy. The only BF game is BFV at 13th of 14 with <1 hour. Lkr isn't so messed up on that aspect, although clearly a fan of LoTR with 411 hours (11 hours this week). CS:S is #2 with 175 hours and BF2 with 134 hours, then Battle for Middle-earth II with 123 hours and BF2142 with 57. At 8th and 9th, BF2142 Demo with 19 and BF2 Demo with 18. BF1942 down at 14th with 8 hours. Then there's me with BF1942 at top out of 54 games with 500 hours, There with 477, UT2004 with 328, Raven Shield with 206, and BF2 with 145. Down at 13th is BFV with 32 hours and BF2 Demo at #20 with 9 hours. At #45 is BF2142 Demo with <1 hour. I'm a big fan of FPS and on occasion I like playing other genres such as RTS, racing, and of course flying.I looked at everyone else from TDS on my list and none of them came close to me and Lkr. If anyone else wants me to try dissecting their gaming habits from their Xfire stats, just ask. Although instead I'd much sooner expect flaming because of jealousy or whatever.
