We'll see. Disregard virtually anything for the moment.

That may be a possibility. However, you wouldn't be able to press two buttons at once (face buttons, anyway). E3's right around the corner, though.

RE: Poll?

I wouldn't be surprised if it used a touch screen, but I think it should be a standard controller (much like the Game-Cube) with a touch screen in the center. I think Dreamcast was on the right track with a screen on the controller (built into the card), but now (5 years later ?) the pricess have dropped so much, that a "nice" screen might actaully be feasable.
Another idea would be a touch pad (like the one on a laptop allow for mouse like input).

EDIT: re-phrased in regaurds to comment below

alex is an unknown quantity at this point
RE: Poll?

it was not a built in screen it was the memory card/stick for the dreamcast

but i dont like the idea that the buttons will be on a touch screen + dont think it will be like that either but i like the idea of a pad that they use for a mouse on a laptop + sounds a decent idea unlike what everone else is speculating

A possibillity would be to model the Revolution after the DS. Forexample take the standard "Geko" processor and double it speed, and use it as the sub-processor for the Revolutions processor (while still allowing for backwards compatabillity).

They could also just allow you to plug in a standard NGC controller in, and then completly re-invent the new controller.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The thing that concerns me, is what if these controllers cost $50 or so.
Then you'll have to buy $200 worth of controllers.

i read that a few weeks back.
since nintendo seem to be in a touch screen frenzy i see the revo's controller very likely or if not that, something involving touch screen.
i, personally see it as a good and bad move. it will be awesome for developers to programme a unigue button for theres games but on the other hand it could brake easily, get dirtied up and may not be very responsive
