What makes a great gamer?

Out of interest, what do you guys think makes a great gamer? I'm at the other end of the scale, I'm a pretty poor gamer, already posted how many games I've completed in my life (7 after my completion of Timesplitters 2 today) and am wondering how I could improve?

dont use cheats?
im no one to talk i use them when ever i get stuck or bored

Well the problem i have is i get half wy through a game and then buy another, and forget about the one i was currently playing. So most of my games are only half done.

But i'd say a good gamer is someone who doesn't use cheats, but completes the game fully by themselves.

Same here, no cheats.

hmmm on RPGs, not using walkthroughs will really help, because you become too dependant on them. puzzle-solving skills are also needed.

I agree with mormon but if im stuck someplace for like half an hour i go to the walkthroughs, except on some of the legend of zelda games.
