What pc games should i get

so give yourself admin privelages. anyway, if you do indeed have AGP 8x, upgrade that graphics card(to a 7600 or 6600 or something decent) and then you can run bf2 no problemo

I have an ati 1300X and 1gb ram and also a athilion 64mb processor ( I think ) but it still lags.
thats why I go to console gaming and alos console gaming

I have 256MB Geforce FX 5700LE and 1.5GB DDR400, the speed of both of them are limited by the motherboard, yet still plays fairly good for a system with a 6 year old motherboard.

Although saying that, Gears of War is an awesome game multiplayer.

PC hardware is constantly up to date, because it's the primary basis for determining where technology is at, while consoles quickly become outdated until the next generation some 5 years later, which would make it up to date again for 6 months at most. Consoles might have better gameplay for some genres or gaming styles, but when it comes to the technology, there's no question about it that PC's win overall.

But why bother getting an upgrade if theres gonna be another upgradable thing in a week? And it might not even be that different.
With a console you get wat you pay for and it will last.
And another thing: With Consoles the graphics, at the early stage of the consoles release, arent as good as the graphics of the last months its has left. So as you see you will get more if u pay for a Console but you will pay more to get more off the PC.

It's not about staying up to date, but about getting up to date whenever you want or can. With a PC, you can do a TON more at the same price of a console, and at the price of a PS3 you could probably play all the latest games too. Sure, developers learn to utilize every ounce of power on consoles (thus the increase in graphics over the life of a console), but even then, it can't compete with PC since PC has essentially hit the top as far as graphics goes, one big reason is that PC's have higher resolutions than HDTV. Consoles are cheaper than your typical PC because they're mass produced with one model and they're usually designed to do the specific task of gaming, the console doesn't hurt your bank nearly as much as everything else such as games and accessories, just look at Wii games, 5 of them is the price of a Wii, and you'll want way more than 5 over the lifetime of Wii. PC games are usually cheaper than console games, and hundreds of thousands are available for free download, which brings on the strong point of PC, the endless possibilities of the Internet with a PC. Considering how much more you can do with a PC, the price is actually very cheap, especially if you compare it to PS3.
