No, the game you're talking about is Portal, which is a commercial HL2 mod released several months ago.

No pilot, Prey had portals. It's hardly as impressive as Portal, but it was in the game.

In that case, seeing that more than one modern popular game has portals, we need to avoid saying "the game with portals". Now I can think of 3 games that use lots of portals: Narbacular Drop, Portal, and Prey.

Hopefully i should be upgrading my computer on or about the 4th.
I've saved my money from X-mas, and should be getting some more on my birthday (hence the 4th), with the money i'm planning on getting a decent graphics card.
At the moment i've got GeForce2 MX 400, which is lame, i know.
My mum should be buying me like 1GB of RAM aswell. so it'll be able to play some of the games at least.
BTW, can anyone suggest a good graphics card to go for? I have no idea what to go with... there are so many.

well if ur an ATI fan try and get a good deal on the 1k cards, preferably the x1900, or the x1600. If you want a geforce card then u might as well buy the 7800, 7900 or 7950. it would be nice to know the amount of money you have to spend as some of these are pretty expensive.

OR

you wait a little bit and save up your money even more for the DX10 cards that are going to be coming out soon. thats what most people are doing seeing as Vista is pretty close.

personally i have a ATI Radeon x850 pro and its getting me by just fine, but im going to wait for the DX10 video cards because most of the newer games soon will be requiring them.

Well at the moment i have about £80 saved over from X-mas.
I have no idea how much that converts to in U.S $.
I should be getting another £60 from my rents.
Then some odd notes in cards and such, like every year.
I'm hoping the total is going to be between £150-200.
I did see in PC World GeForce6 + GeForce7 for £60 + £70.
Are those cards any good?
How much are the DX10's gonna be priced at?

i dunno how much the 200 would translate over here but they will probably be pretty expensive, but then the price will go down after a little time.

id say u save ur money and wait, u could earn a little more money to buy a better card.

if ur cpu is above 2.0ghz you are in pretty good shape too


only problem with getting a new graphics card is you may have to buy a new power supply for ur computer as well because they use alot of power.

ANDDDDD

if ur using a mini tower, you will have to at least upgrade to a mid tower because they also take up alot of room.

i think PCI express cards are smaller though so if u have one o those slots u dont have to worry about getting a new tower.
