Woah, this is expensive. I don't think I will get it as of now but If I have the money then what the heck.

i don't have a freaking HDTV, so that whole HD bit has nothing to do with me.

the big thing that appeals to me on the $399 one is that 20gb detachable hard drive.

if i have enough money, i'll get the better package, but if not, i'll just go with the cheap version and live with memory cards.

the game i am really looking forward too is Gears of War. perfect dark looks pretty sweet too, and even Square Enix is supporting the 360 now with final fantasy XI

I find this very hard to believe. A 100 GB harddrive costs 99.99 over here. Is it "specially" made for the Xbox?

edit: Mormom, I thought FFXI was on Xbox, not the 360 unless you mean backwards capability.

Of course it's "special". Everything Microsoft makes is "special". Just like the "special" class (that's right, horrible pun).

Everything that is in the 399 version can be bought seperatly during launch. So if you buy the 299 ver, you can later buy a hd.
