Does the current mic for teh XBOX work? And will my XBOX LIVE subscription transfer over to my XBOX 360?

Probably not but it hasnt been announced....ask microsoft if they remembered this they would tell you

Yes, you're old xbox live will translate into Xbox Live Gold.

If owning all three makes you a well rounded gamer, than some of the most idiotic people I know are "well rounded" because their grandparents are rich.

Back on topic, people. ;)

To answer your questions, any headset that will fit (2.5mm, right?) into the mic slot (including the current Xbox headset) will work.

An Xbox Live subscription that isn't terminated before the launch of the Xbox 360 will carry over and be able to be used as an Xbox Live Gold membership/subscription.

LKR, you said "MY xbox" and "MY Xbox 360" so I presumed it was you.

DSdude, out of interest, how much is it for an Xbox Live Gold membership? $50? Just wondering if anyone could save a buck or two buying the old version...

What was cool about Xbox Live for the Xbox 1, at least here in Norway, was that it was actually cheaper to buy a new live pack (with a new headset and 12 months "free") than just renewing your subscription. Meant you had to change your gamertag every year, but you still saved seven bucks or so. I guess that's Microsoft for ya.

Also, people should take note of the Xbox 360 HD pack containing a free 30 days subscription to Xbox Live Gold. That's mainly why I'm canceling my subscription this fall.

There's going to be a free Basic version of xbox live available to everyone without a subscription on the 360.

From what I've heard, it will primarily match you with other gamers on the weekends for free. It will not track your stats however.
