I'm not worried that it's being purchased by a larger company, but I am worried that it's being purchased by MTV's parent. We all know the direction MTV has gone.

I never watched MTV, but I occasionally watch some of the other channels they own like Spike. They almost sound like the EA of the media entertainment industry, although they aren't as obvious when it comes to destroying stuff they bought.

EA has never destroyed any games I like, and a whole lot of them are EA titles. I'm starting to get the feeling that this widespread hate for the company is just another plague of rebellious teen anger toward "rawr evil capitalism!!!111".

EA makes way too many sequels and not much new stuff, and much of the time they make it worse than the original in terms of gameplay (the BF series is a good example), and they usually handle games they didn't originally create even worse (I think some of the Maxis games fit that category).
Anyway enough about EA, someone can make a debate thread if they want to talk about it, but for here let's get back on topic and try to stay there.
