gbamp for newbies.

hi all,

i have the equipment and i am lacking the clear knowledge to do the things i want. i have a gbamp v2, a ds the fat one. (also a sp.) a 256mb cf card, max media launcher, pc, card reader...

1. i wanted to run some gba roms including beyblade revolution. i got it off ebay. the game won't save, the battery is dead. (alternatively i could replace the battery given a good guide. i have a ds screwdriver.) i would also like to put some old gb games onto the cf card...
2. i want to run homebrew... i was hoping for wolfenstein 3d, doom 2, heretic if possible. as well as moonshell etc.
3. i saw on youtube a guy using a 4gb cf card working in a gbamp, i don't remember the type that will work any clues on the specific make that will work?

ps. i think i have the latest official firmware. although i don't remember the version number.
