Quake2DS release is imminent
As some of you may remember, Quake 2 was one of the great first person shooters available for PC, released 10 years ago with minimum requirements of 90MHz and 16MB of RAM. Those requirements are a very tight fit for the DS, which only has 67MHz and 33MHz CPU's and 4MB of RAM. The RAM won't be enough, so a memory expansion pack similar to the one used for the Nintendo DS Browser would be needed.
The developer of this homebrew DS port, simonjhall, already has a port of Quake (QuakeDS) which has been available for a year or two and he has been keeping us up-to-date on his Quake2DS progress through a DCEmu thread and his YouTube profile. As you may notice in his posts, he is very close to a release. So, does anyone here have old memories of Quake 2 they would like to share or thoughts of the port? Update (2008-02-10): It's finally released! The Home of Quake2DS QUAKE2DS prerelease 1 - DCEmu Forums Digg - QUAKE2 DS Released Last edited by Pilot_51; 11-02-2008 at 04:16 AM. |

hay everyone i am wondering how you can download all these free games with ds homebrew. could you give me a site with free full games on it and all the best homebrew stuff. The reason is because im getting the R4 revolution for the ds and i want to get games like mario kart ds downloaded on it. My friend got it and i have no idea how to do this. What are your top three sites. (that are free with no paying requirments!)

That's for homebrew and you need to register (which is free) for most of the downloads. As far as piracy (such as downloading Mario Kart DS), I don't help with that. |
