"Press release, by EA on the 30th March 2005:
Over a lot of speculation recently in the press stating rumors that Nintendo and EA are in talks for a merge between the two companies have some truth to them.
EA are currently in talks with Nintendo to take over 26% of Nintendo's total shares. In EA doing so this will result in EA becoming the major share holder in Nintendo. When Nintendo of America questioned on the possible take over, they replied with " well we're not ruling anything out yet". EA head of financial, Oir Amerpus stated " talks are in the process but nothing is written in concreate thus far."

but think about it as i saidi n my previous post, if this happens EA are bound to only give nintendo consoles EA games as why would they want to see an investment lose money?
and with EA games and nintendo games as exclusives to nintendo consoles, Nintendo will reclaim its place at the top of the gaming food chan once more

Wow if this IS true i am quite glad, Nintendo would get some great games out of EA and Ea's support would be great, after all, they are experienced!

guys i love your optimizim but if this did happen then it wouldn't be EA going exclusive with nintendo. Oh no. It will be nintendo publishing for sony and microsoft. If EA do get a controlling share nintendo becomes their dog and thay have to do what EA tells them. Either that or EA might be making there own console and getting nintendo to be a first party publisher. I hope this is an April fool. It would be a good one. Fanboys would be in uproar. If its true then its worrying times. Thats how i see it anyway.

this happens, and Nintendo is done in the video game biz. they cant let EA take over the company. As long as Nintendo has the most stock, and they get the final say in everything, it wouldnt be bad.
