Um, I don't know any offhand. The town where I live now (with about 20000 people) is kinda new and expanding rapidly, there's nobody really famous according to Wikipedia.
My previous location in
Huntsville, AL (where I lived about 6 years) had some more famous people like Homer Hickam (the main character in the true-story movie October Sky), Jimmy Wales (founder of Wikipedia), Mark McGwire (home-run record breaker, started in the Huntsville Stars), Martin Luther King, Jr. (ya'll know him), and a bunch of others that are listed in Wikipedia. There's also been some famous people to live and visit there like Wernher Von Braun (made a living there and got lots of places named after him), James A. Lovell (commander of Apollo 13, played by Tom Hanks in the movie, came to the Space Center as an event that I went to), and Dale Earnhardt (got his start in racing at the Huntsville Speedway if I remember correctly), and Bill Nye (came to visit as an event that I went to). I might add, it's a great place to live for astronomy fanatics since they have the Space Center and several other related places and it's not as crowded as Florida or Houston.
Before that I lived in
Snohomish, WA for my first 8 years, where according to Wikipedia nobody really famous lived. Although there's lots of famous people in the surrounding areas like Bill Nye, Bill Gates, and Reggie It is however rather close to Redmond, where everyone should know is the home of NOA and Microsoft, and Boeing has their largest facilities in Everett (my dad used to work there, and might be going back in the coming years, giving me a good opportunity at NOA).
Ok that's almost more information than I can handle, and I discovered a lot in the process like the Wikipedia founder. I would suggest searching some of the names and learn something about them, especially if you don't know them yet.
