RE: GBA Movie Player?
I have this movie player. It's not the best at what it does, but it does a lot of things to make up for that.
I personally use it to play NES games on my DS, and watch movies/listen to music at work.

It plays all NES games under 192k. The cost was under 35 bux or so after shipping. I live in california, it took 6 weeks to reach me because I didn't get priority shipping. I got it from Liksang. Shipping was 6 dollars. I will not advocate piracy, so I won't comment on kazaa or napster. The conversion software and sample movies come on the included CD that ships with the player. You need a CF card and a CF card reader for your PC. That's how files are moved from the PC to GBA/DS, copied from the PC to a CF card, and then put inside the movie player so the GBA/DS can read it. No. |

RE: New Advertising idea
Because this device doesn't use encoder like the Playan, it's harder on the battery life. Also, Napster is pay service now, so no worries about privacy if you like that serverice.
The problem with using MP3 or other compressed files, is they end up sounding like garbage, because the GBA Movie Player compresses them again (you'll want to rip from your CD's to get decent qualitty) x999x will correct me if i'm wrong |

MP3 at a bitrate of 128 kbps @ 44100 khz is still better than average for the normal ear. 196 and higher sound true to the source files. That said, your music conversions can be as good as the source depending on your settings. Essentially, it converts the mp3 to a gbs file, which is nearly identical in filesize to the original mp3. In this respect, the conversions are lossless to an extent, however if you do compress the files, they too sound very good over the DS' or SP's speakers. I encode mp3s quite often, and have no problem with sound quality over headphones either. |

RE: graphical comparision: DS-N64
I found one that you don't have to a CF Card for and as said on
http://gameboy-advance.net/flash_car...-powerstar.htm it can play movies, NES games, movies, show photos, e-books, and it even has a cheat fuction. HERE IS THE LINK TO THE SHOP: http://linker4u.com/pp/item_detail.asp?itemID={F7732E8A-DE5F-401F-81DF-29793809ED30}#

RE: Re: RE: What is going on With NEW Super Mario Brothers
That's pretty cool, but it's movies aren't as good as what you can get with the movie advance. You can also do everything you listed, except play copied gba games with it. Another thing to note is that those meg sizes are megaBITS, so the 1gig version isn't the same size as a 1gig CF card like the movie advance can use. I forgot if it was 4:1 or 8:1 but 1 gig in megabits is somewhere over a hundred megs, i'm probably off, but not less than that, so a whole movie on this player that doesnt need a card just isn't possible.
