Hurricane Season

Hurricane Season is starting up, and we've been warned of a very active season. this kind of weather freaks me out. I'm praying that nothing bad comes my way, nothing bad goes in anyone's way in fact. I hope that New Orleans doesn't get anything after Katrina. Just keep us on the Atlantic Coast in your minds during this time.

Yeah... At this rate I'd say they should let all the poor people have the coasts so they can get some money from tourists, but then again evacuating them would be harder if they don't have a car. I find it strange how all the rich people live in those areas (especially Florida) and accept getting hit by one hurricane after another, maybe it's because they're the only ones that could afford to live there and they like to stay away from people that beg for money in the streets.

I just had a severe thunderstorm about an hour ago. I can only imagine what the weather will be like in the near future.

I had one yesterday with hail that came and went in a hurry, which had apparently knocked out my cable service for about 18 hours (it was sad).

we have a HORRIBLE storm on our way. if internet gets knocked off, but power remains on, our ISP gives us a dial-up connection to use for free if we absolutely need internet.

That's cool, I want an ISP like that, assuming the speed is still at least 4mb/386kb and price under $40/mo.

sbc yahoo has free dial-up with the dsl for $15 a month. infact, i use the dial up on my grandmas pc so she gets free internet and i can use my dsl at the same time.

anyway......yea, im glad i live in michigan. no hurricanes, no tsunamis, no earthquakes.

Did you tell me you live in Michigan before? I don't remember... Maybe we could by chance hook up for the first US TDS meet, as long as you aren't too scary. It's sort of a faded wish that I meet someone IRL (with similar interests) that I met online first.

lol yeah we coulda been the first TDS meet back when the nintendo fusion tour came through detroit... too bad my parents wouldn't let me go.

but i live in cali now... all there is is earthquakes and lots of heat
