Sure, I believe there were Nazi individuals just following orders against their wishes and they were just doing what they had to for their own survival. It's a tough choice between killing others or being killed, and I'm sure even today most people would pick their own life over the lives of people they don't know.

I never knew about that milgram experiment. Interesting. And when you think about if a person was under the pretense that they would be killed themselves if they didn't obey, I'd guess that several truly were just following orders. Others, though, I'm sure actually believed what they were doing was right. Who knows what the ratio was, though.
