itunes problem

well for all those people who use iTUnes i need help with conversion from .m4p to .mp3.... i right clicked on the sond (while in the iTunes window) and i clicked 'Convert to MP3' and it say i cant becasue its protected... well can someone tell me how to unprotect it

That's propably the CD itself. I can't remember to have countered the CD protection problem in a long time, but if I remember correctly, try holding shift while doing it. It may be that it only works in Windows Media Player. Try that.

im not using a CD.... its the music download fom itunes

.M4P would imply a copy-protected song. Therefore, you have to find a way to remove the copy protection. Now, I do remember a program that was able to accomplish this, but I just can't remember the name... or the link to it. If I find it, I'll test it out and see if it works.

Otherwise, I can't really help at all. Sorry.

Search "Removing DRM + Itunes" on google or another search engine and you'll find something.

And apparently, JHymn is the most popular program. Try it again... maybe you did something wrong?

ok...very easy...make sure your computer is authorized to use your iTunes account(http://apple.com/itunes)the instructions are there. then, try to convert again...if that doesnt help, wait till monday-tuesday till i get home and can use my itunes account...whats wrong with mp4 anyway?
