MSN (hotmail and msn messenger) not working

okay,

MSN went down for a while last week.

Now all my emails are gone (i have 0 emails, but 25 of those are unread).

Plus, many of the files I send don't work when they reach of the other end (including, zip, mp3 and access databases)

NE1 HAVING TROUBLES?

EDIT: I don't mean i didn't read 25 of them i mean msn thinks 25 out of 0 emails are undread!

Get rid of your hotmail account, use jabber, get an email address with someone else... I won't be suprised if MS start blocking any emails that contain .zip's .exe's .avi's or anything that might be copyrighted... they'll probably say it's to stop virus'

I prefer for my email to not be under the control of some big company.

& msn has always sucked, ICQ never went down once for all the years that I was using it for.

I only use my hotmail account for simple text emails, maybe some small text attachments. For files, I use my GMail account. I haven't had any problems yet with MSN, either.

i have a bussiness email acount through powweb...
i wouldn't use any instant messenger service, expect for the fact my friends do, (it's the only way i get to keep in touch w/ my gf while she's at college)

I want to keep my hotmail cause i had it for years...

It's a product from Microsoft what do you expect ? They still never upgraded my hotmail account to 250mb :P

I discovered the problem with hotmail:
I think this is a portion of there source code:

I think hotmail is good actually and yeah it did go down for a whole 3 hours! :) I didn't lose any of my e-mails and i have just been upgraded.

you should realy go to gmail because:

it has bigger storage for your e-mails etc....
you can get a thing which goes in the corner of your pc screen (the clock bit) that notifys you of new e-mails and unread e-mails.
and it has a better lay out then hotmail + i think you can attach bigger files to your e-mails with it.
