Name: Gamers Consideration Initiative (GCI)
When: The plan is every 1 or 2 weeks.
Duration: It doesn't matter, it'll be as long as we have stuff to talk about, which could range from 10 minutes to 2 hours.
Quality: 64kbps, 44KHz, mono.
Voice software: Mumble. Alternatives (if someone else refuses to get Mumble or has problems with it) are Skype and Gizmo.
Number of speakers: 2 is a good number, but if we can get organized so we don't keep talking over each other we could go with more, but for now I'd say 4 is the max.

It's 35MB at 11KHz/mono/56kbps.
I did the recording and editing (I just cut off the ends and converted the encoding), and my friend Jason9811 was the co-host that's hard to stop once he starts talking.

Feh, you have a small bandwith on your ftp or something, im getting 30-40 kbps while i usually get like 150.

It's hosted on my main system and my upload cap is 48KB/s (384kbps), so I limited the FTP to 40KB/s (320kbps). It's still fast enough to stream it if you wanted, over 5 times faster actually.

I switched my hosting to GoDaddy, which has 500MB storage and 5GB/month limit, so you should be able to download my podcasts much faster as long as I don't hit that 5GB limit (in which case I'd need to use my ISP or personal server again for a period of time). If anyone has anything they want hosted, particularly TDS related like WiRL, give me a holler.
I also have email set up for my domain, which you can find on my site home page. I'll offer accounts to some of my best of friends (not that they would have a use for it over Gmail).
FTP should be ready soon.

I'm planning episode 2 for tomorrow, or Saturday at the latest if Friday doesn't turn out. If anyone wants to be in it, give me a holler when I'm available tomorrow and we can get things started. Setup and briefing shouldn't last much longer than a few minutes, so just be sure your mic is working without feedback or anything annoying like that, it would also help to get at least TS and maybe Skype and Gizmo, but if need be we could use anything such as MSN.

I also want to bring your attention to the main post, where I updated it with details and a FAQ section which is currently empty (that means I need people to ask questions).
