because you have to pass a test and if you dont theres no way of geting in some people dont want to take that chance or get seperated from there friends or family trust me its just tuff to choose

Entering legally is a very messy and drawn-out process that doesn't even try to aid those who entered illegally, but want to be legal. Hell, I remember quite a while ago when my parents were illegal. They'd been there in the US 5 years before I was born, and didn't become eligible to take the citizenship test until I was 15.

those tests are very important, and all the paperwork is needed for future reference. there is no way we can just open the borders and not expect to be attack

personally i think they're stupid, not really important, cause if it seriously takes 15 years to become eligible a terrorist could've done a lot in that period of time.

i know a lady whos illegal from canada... shes had to deal with those gay paperwork problems for 7 freakin years now. the whole system is retarded, imo >_>

That explains why it's nearly impossible for me to get a driver's license after I'm 18 and was homeschooled my whole life (homeschoolers generally don't get the required 3 ID's).
