Spamming

I want to take up a topic about spamming - unessasary posting.
I have, and is a member of some forums, and one problem in many forums, is spamming.

Let me take some exampels on spam:
To reply such things as:
Cool,
Ok,
LOL,
Yes,
YEAH,
Hey,
So on,
That is unessasary.

Also posts that have a sole purpose to just boost your post count are included. We ask members to keep the community an informative place and Spam free!

And to point out one things to unexperienced forum members, It's NOT a competition to have the highest postcount.

Im not pointing out any members, and im not saying it's a problem in this forum, but it can be,
so please, im asking you this, before it get a bigger problem, don't spam :)

I do highly disagree with you because this is a forum and forums are for discussing. By writing this article i think that you have aimed it at me. Don't get me wrong, spamming is unnessasary, but to a certain extent it is neccesary to express certain views. By writing this post i not only think that you have offended me but embarrased me. Im not trying to get the highest post count but i do, as you can see, like to get my view accross to the public. Have you noticed when i haave posted a large amount of posts this forum has expanded and thanks to me at least 5 more people have joined this community. Case Closed!

Ok, so i was a bit aiming at you, because you seem to be a bit new at this whole forum thing.

But then again, i wrote this to ALL, who are new to forums, alot of younger people will buy the DS, and then many of them might be joining a forum for the first time, and they might think its fun to see who has the most posts!

And, they might think you HAVE to reply to everything that is posted, but thats wrong, you reply if you have a opinion, or is being asked a question.

At the time, this forum isn't so big, but as time goes, and DS is being released, this will grow, and be a big forum (atleast i think, because its a good site!)
more and more "newbies" will join, and i wrote this, and hopfully many will read it, and not post, meaningless posts, as spam.

I hope you understand, and i did not mean to offend you in any way, so i apologise.

I would like to say that both of you are right in some kindo of way. I definitly disaprove any posts like: That's cool, Hi, M y name is..., etc. But chuddy havent posted anything that would point that he is trying to reach high post number. Does it even metter? Whats gonna count is the number of wins in offical tournament games of touchds.com. Look at me for example. I dont have to many posts, but I read everything. I add my $0.02 when I think its needed. But I will definitly be all the way up top on player ranking. HAHA just kiding. I usually suck in multiplayer.

Chuddy, I love your enthusiasm - please don't feel embarrased or anything. You are a valuable member of this community.

Like Plmars say though, wait for the TouchDS.com tournaments to prove your gaming skill!
