Use xchat not mirc

Hey just saw that mirc set up thing, I have no idea at all why people using windows use mirc, it's truly horrid.

So I introduce xchat, which is far easier to use and doesn't try asking you to pay for it (I think that mirc does? Either way it still pops up that guys ugly photo :P )

So for xchat download and install these two files

1) http://www.silverex.org/download/gtk...041220-ash.exe
2) http://www.silverex.org/download/xchat-2.4.1.exe

That should do it, now you'll have a lovely easy to use irc client, it's 10X better than mirc.

Anyone who trys it just reply back and tell me what you think of it :)

I prefer mIRC simply because I'm too lazy to bother changing. Besides, I think it has a rather nice setup.

As I stated earlier; that's the problem. I'm way too lazy. I don't care if I'll like it more. mIRC works for me, and that's all that matters as of right now.

Yea :) I noticed that after i had made this thread, so I just took it a bit further and found the windows binarys that had been released under the GPL instead of the official builds which the binarys are under a shareware licence.

Baronen, I've made it so easy, just click those two links... you'll wonder why you ever used mirc in the first place, and you'll never want to use it ever again....... weee xchat with transparent background :D
