Full Revolution Disclosure, May '06

So it's official. We will get full disclosure on all nintendo's secrets (plus game footage/demos) on May 9, 2006.

Gamespot:

Today, though, gamers got a definite date when Nintendo will absolutely, positively reveal the Revolution in all its glory. The Mario factory sent out a "save the date" e-mail this morning saying that in "a mere 165 days to go (give or take)" it will reveal "all the incredible details about Nintendo's upcoming games and hardware, including our next home console, code-named Revolution."

So when will be the Revolution's coming-out party? Unsurprisingly, it will be at next year's E3. Specifically, the console will be unveiled at Nintendo's pre-E3 press event, which is slated for 9:30 a.m. Pacific time on May 9, 2006. The venue will be the Kodak Theatre--home of the Academy Awards--in Hollywood, California.

Nah, no real suprise, but it's nice to have a definate date. I must wonder what exactly they will show though.

If they havent spilled all the beans by e3 2006 id be a bit worried. ill expect to see, at the very least, working tech demos at the show and really there should be a few games on show as well. The final design for the controller and the console should definately be shown aswel (i hope they dont change too much from the prototype...sooooo shiny). And of course the proper name for the console.

If Nintendo don't put on a hell of a show to convince everyone about their ideas and most of all games for the Revolution by this time, I see a problem marketing it out to the mainstream and non Nintendo fanboy groups. But it will be interesting to see, well read about anyway. Personally I'm waiting out for this one until I can decide what to do and get about the new generation so let's see if they can make me want to buy it on day one

so whatever happened to nintendo releasing more information by then end of this year. i believe it was back at E3 iwata said something about more information fortcoming by the end of the year. i know that in september the showed the controller but i was expecting more. guess only 6 more months... ill be waiting

o and just an addition on the last post. no matter wut, ill be camping out on the eve of launch and be one of the first to get my hands on one of these. cant wait
