A scan from the German magazine N-Zone has revealed some new information regarding Mario Kart DS. The following has been translated from the magazine:

+ There are 4 cups with 8 courses
+ Some new courses are: "Waluigi Flipper", "Mushroom Mountain", "Piazza Delfino" and some desert track.
+ Every driver has two karts he can chose from. one regular kart, one special kart.
+ 16 remade courses from the old games, including:
Super Mario Kart:
- Mario Circuit 1
Mario Kart Super Circuit:
- Peach Circuit
- Bowser Castle 2
Mario Kart 64:
- Moo Moo Farm
- Frappe Snowland
Mario Kart Double Dash!!:
- Luigis Piste
- Baby-Park
