On Capcoms Japanese website, they have posted some info on a new Megaman series for the DS. The bad side is it's all in Japanese. The good side is there are great fan sites out there, like Atomic Fire, to translate the text for us gamers.

The release goes on to say the hero in the game will become Rockman by means of transformation. It mentions several elements returning from the Rockman EXE series (Mega Man Battle Network in the US), including navis, viruses, and the familiar rock buster. The game will take place in the Radio Wave World, which should be more like the human world than the Cyber World of the EXE titles. The development team also promises a new way of moving, fighting, and corresponding.
Not a lot of details available at the moment, but Capcom says it will announce the title of the game and its main character in an upcoming news release on the site. We'll have to wait and see where the gaming icon is headed next. For those keeping track, Mega Man has starred in around 50 games since his debut in 1987.
