Nintendogs a Success (In Europe!)

Nintendogs launched across Europe on 7th October 2005. In it's first week it sold 160,000 units and it seems it will be as big as Nintendogs is in the US. In the US, Nintendogs became not only the hottest-selling video game, but the best-selling new franchise ever for a portable video game system, while in Japan it has become a truly cultural phenomenon.
Nintendo DS sales are up between 400-700% across Europe and has gone on to sell over 1.5 million copies in North America and Japan, having sold out in its first week of release in the USA with over 250,000 copies flying off the shelves during the first week on sale.

Sorry about this, what's so special about the title?

Even so, good to see games doing well in various countries, especially Nintendo games. I thought Britain/Europe were too "cool" for Nintendogs, so it's pretty good to see there is a market there.

Plus, the bundle sold DS, did it not...

The title is jokingly obvious... I mean, perhaps "... a Success in Europe", but no, just "a Success". I mean, if europe never existed nintendogs would still be successful. Not very descriptive of the article.
