He's been notified that his news bot isn't very appreciated and he appears open to any suggestions. I doubt he ever reads any posts outside a few specific threads in the mod forum, so I can forward any suggestions to him. I have my own suggestion I'll be telling him soon.

He disabled it, but he still has his preference for using a good news feed.

its not a good news feed unless it can display the whole article

He wants people to let him know if they find a good news feed, which basically only needs to be good in the eyes of the finder. I'm assuming he's leaving that up to us and he won't go looking and re-enable it if he finds a better one.
