Thumbs up Twilight Princess to be over 100 hours long

A new article on Japanese gaming site Level Up has stated that the highly-anticipated Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will contain more than 100 hours of possible gameplay included.

Eiji Aonuma, director of the game, has always said that the amount of playtime depends on how many sidequests and how much exploration the player decides to do. If the game does indeed exceed 100 hours, then it will make it's name as the biggest Zelda game yet, dwarfing even Ocarina of Time, and even putting it among the longest adventure games ever.

The article continues on to say that the new and improved game mechanics, causing the long delay, will set a benchmark for Zelda games to come. Level Up has also posted some wonderful, albeit low-quality, shots of the game.

With every new piece of information, the wait becomes more agonizing. Stay tuned to Nwizard for more on what's lining up to be possibly the greatest video game in history.

Heh, this is the same rumor from a few months ago, just switch the number "100" with "70". I'm inclined to believe that you could get a good 60 hours out of it if they're taking the time to make it so unbelievably great.

Wow, this is great news. It better not have 99 hours of sailing or I could possibly go mad and smash a controller round my head. Or not.

With the amount of time their putting into it? I'll believe a hundred hours. 80 for the main quest (that's only 20-30 more than in OoT), and 20+ hours for side quests. I think it sounds very possible.

I've got my money down that this game may just become the greatest game of all time, like, I mean, literally.

Well, MP (the first one) promised 20-30 hours, and I got 14 my first time through on the clock, though obviously I spent quite a bit more time on it, not to mention replayed it twice.

Well, of course they can't pin down EVERYONES game time. If the game really is that long, based on how much you like sidequests and your skill level, I'd say it will vary between 64 and 128 hours.

I think most hardcore gamers will be able to take it in a lot less than 100...

If this holds true, I may have a heart attack. I agree, nmaster, this could become THE greatest game of all time. A new realistic 3D Zelda game is like... ultimate Nirvana for me. Seriously, this game is already AWESOME-looking as it is. They're just adding icing to the cake (a cake that is 50ft tall, and oh so delicious).

Bring on the Twilight Princess!!
