Xenosaga 1&2 announced

It has been known for quite some time now that Xenosaga was making a DS debut, but up until a week ago we haven't had an specifics... So here they are.

According to Famitsu, Namco is releasing the Sci-Fi RPG Xenosaga on the DS, remaking episodes 1 and 2, creating a compilation so cleverly named, Xenosage 1 & 2.

Similar to the originals, the game is being developed by Monoluft SOft and published by Namco, but this time it will be 2D with an isometric view. It follows the same storyline but it will include new scripts. The turn based battle system will be styled more towards episode 1.

Namco also mentioned that it will feature cutscenes(which is surprising for a DS game)

no firm release date yet.

They've been given a release date. March 30, but of course this is japan.
