Brawl FS's/Character List Opinions

so what does everyone think of the 35 char roster?

I personally feel that the list is good, with a nice round amount of characters. But the fatal flaw is the fact that there are too many clone type characters, such as Link and Toon Link, Fox Falco and Wolf, Lucario = Mewtwo round 2, and ganondorf still doesnt have a sword.(can't really count mario and luigi as being clones, cause Mario was changed moveset wise and they both have different FS's)

Other than that the list is great. Also, what's everyones favorite FS? Mine would definately be the Luigi Acid Trip (tentative name lol), where a giant green bubble surrounds him and all who are caught inside, and Luigi starts doing a crazy dance. While in the bubble (other players not Luigi), they take periodic damage, and are at first put to sleep. When they are awoken, they move at a much slower pace while still in the bubble (C-C-C Combro Breaker!) and you can get in a few blows before sending em flying out of the bubble. In otherwords, its a Luigi combo player's dream FS.

I think the roster is great. Rob is going to make a great new addition imo. My favurite FS would have to be Ike's, because it just seems really devestating. Marth's is pretty amazing too. I really like how they've added the life gauge when he hits an opponent.

Peach was friggin god in melee.... better than marth imo. Although still doesn't have much on fox/falco >.<

But yeah I'm liking the roster but not liking the fact that Luigi seems to be totally rigged in this one while peach got nerfed. That's not cool cause now dhaka totally has an advantage on me haha. I main peach and ganondorf in melee, and I was planning on doing the same in brawl.

I've been a Luigi player since 64 man. I've also beaten the number 1 Fox player of NY at a local tournament in Melee. You're going to need a lot of work to catch up to me man =P

Edit: Peach was number 4 on the Tier list for some time, just under Fox, Falco, and Marth respectively. Peach is indefinately one of the best characters in Melee.

And you beat them? 0.o

Im sure I could put up a decent fight against them but I'm fairly certain I could never win... I still screw up the shffl way too often.

I wish I remembered the dude's name

But yea, that guy was probably the best fox player I've ever seen, living up to his reputation. The one flaw, Luigi > Fox because of comboing abilities =)

I gotta say though... he hit me with every single shine and that was really annoying, lol. Luckily Luigi's Up-B with a little bit of teching goes a long way =)

He was amazing though, it ended up me with 1 life left and i think 100 + damage, a really close match, but I did pull out the winner... then all of his cronies (he came with a crew of 5 people) all challenged me to 1 on 1 matches.....not a 1 of them got even close to beating me lol.

Dude you can't even claim he's the best fox player when you've got no name for em lol.

But if you have actually beaten someone on the level of PC Chris, M2K, Isai, or Azen, then im crazy impressed. But they're all ranked in the top 10 in the world.

But I heard melee skills don't transfer well to brawl.

Yea Melee skills don't transfer over due to the change in the physics engine. Everyone is floatier, and theres no more wavedashing etc. So its a big change from Melee.
