Component/S-video

My TV can utilize the S-video wires, that's completely different from component, right? I'm an idiot when it comes to video quality. It has blue, green, and red sockets. Can I play component, or does it have to say component at the back. =X

It's different. Chances are you have RCA connections (2 for stereo audio and 1 for video) and not component (3 for RGB video). Newer high-end TV's or HDTV's might have component, but just about all TV's nowadays have RCA and fewer have S-Video.

But I guess I can play Component, thanks! =D Going to get the wires tomorrow.

Btw, is there even a big difference?

There are quality differences, but you probably won't notice the difference until you unplug one of the connectors and leave the rest plugged in.

I just got the ASID component cables and I don't really see a difference, Lol. I think my TV isn't capable of producing a better quality than what I had. I guess I'll just trade it back in for store credit.

O.o Ooooo, I've just bought some component cables, like 5 plug sockets; green, blue etc... I'll see if i can get a pic :) (So expensive...) But, I have a 42" HD Plasma and the Wii looked awful with just AV... I mean... AWFUL.
