Nintendo start to patch VC games

A patch was released for a glitch in Mario Kart 64 concerning leaving the player select screen for too long idle which would cause some messed up stuff and another patch for Millitary Madness.

Are those patches completely automatic or is it manual like the firmware and new channel updates?

Manual. You go and download them, providing you have the game downloaded of course. Right now theyre on the front page, news section of the channel, afterward im guessing theyre stored on the same page the game is. Im also guessing that from now on, these games will come patched up to future downloaders.

Well that's nice. Gives hope for online components being added, however unlikely.

probably is, because of the different frequencies of PAL and NTSC.
