Sakurai says download content for brawl!

Just Kidding.

Actually instead of able to put things in Sakurai actually had to take things OUT of the game.

Brawl director Masahiro Sakurai stated that despite the massive amount of unlockables in the game, there were also a good number of things that were cut. He said that at one point, there were "a lot more characters" in the game which ended up being removed for one reason or another.

According to the magazine, some of the characters were cut down by Sakurai's own hand. Don't get too excited for names, though: When asked, he just said, "I can't discuss which ones didn't make it." I'm betting on Mega Man being one of them. Look on the bright side; at least Sonic and Snake made it in, and the last thing Brawl needs is more clones, right?

The 7 characters that got cut: Roy, mewtwo, "toon zelda", "toon sheik," "prai and mai" (plusle and minun), and I can't remember the other two. I think one of the other two was a toon ganondorf (it makes logical sense at least), although the 7th just completely escapes me.

The only reason I know this is because people ripped the game and looked through the files on it. Since it got cut, though, I have no reason to care about it and thus don't remember the full details. Oh yeah... and there was also a forest maze theme (from super mario rpg) on the game that got cut, probably due to legal issues.

Megaman was never even considered for brawl (or at least enough for them to bother contacting the creator of megaman, who has been quoted as saying that he was never once contacted for anything concerning brawl).

WTF! What would she do? I would understand Tetra...but come on!

Yeah, heard about the whole Forest Maze thing... People think (quite logically) that Geno was a possibility. Some people even blame the delay on conflict with Squeenix. Oh well.
