So has anyone downloaded anthing yet?

The only thing I've downloaded so far is the latest update, which is the only download that doesn't require Wii Points AFAIK. It downloaded really slow because I have my router configured for DS, which is the 1-2Mbps basic rate, and I also had the router set to only use 802.11b, but I've changed it to mixed (both protocols) and set basic rate to all. If I have problems with my DS connection again I'll need to think of another workaround, but I had the basic rate at default for awhile with no problems before things started acting up, so there's a chance my DS will be fine with the new settings.
I can't wait for the browser to be released and the forecast and news channels to be activated.

As far as I can tell the activation of the Forecast Channel is the only thing that changed. It's possible they made some very small changes and bug fixes but I haven't noticed anything (or any bugs in the first place).

Edit: With WiiConnect24, does it only let you know when an update is available or can it be updated automatically (either by an option I missed or a server-side option)?
Also, can anyone confirm what I heard from Lkr that Mario Bros. will be free on Christmas day?
