VIP Star Points for Wii Points!

Best news since Wii launch for European gamers? Most likely.

The Star Catologue on the Nintendo Europe site. Introduced as a loyalty scheme of sorts, when a user purchases a Nintendo published game, there will be a PIN code slip included, register this at the NOE site and you'll recieve 250 Star Points, buy a console and recieve 500 Star Points. A really nice idea, but rarely used to its potential, with only the odd occasions of cashing in your star points for games, t shirts, controllers and other goodies.

This has all changed. With this link on the NOE Wii site, there will be chances in the future to cash in those Star Points for Virtual Console games.

If your only getting started with Star Points, well, what better time, just bought a Wii? You should swamped in them, 500 for the console, 250 for Wii Sports, 250 for Zelda (which you should have!) and most likely Wii Play which is another 250.

Its just a simple matter of linking your Wii from the shopping channels settings to your club Nintendo account. More info on the above link.
