Wii Laptop

Hey everybody I was just browsing Youtube and I found this video its pretty cool its a Wii laptop the a guy built!!! =]

I can agree it kinda isn't good, the screen is small I think that all of us would prefer a bigger screen, but he put the sensors closer so that you can play closer and you can see the small screen but otherwise it cool!!! =]

That's not that bad, shame about the ever-so geeky guy. Turn up your speakers guys and just listen to the drop of the GC disc >_>

I know that I heard it he treats he discs like garbage mostly he GC disc thats not cool

Disks are garbage when they stand before a Wii Laptop! would be great for holidays and all.

He must've modified the internal hardware and/or firmware of that Wii, mine takes about 10 times longer to boot up even from standby.
Regardless, it's a very cool mod.

Huh? No I haven't modded my Wii. I'm just saying that mine takes a long time to start up and I don't understand how a Wii with genuine hardware and firmware would boot so much faster than mine with genuine hardware and firmware. It looks pretty evident that he modified some of the internal hardware to at least move the buttons, and someone who would go that far might also go as far as modding internal hardware and/or firmware to add more functionality or performance, that is unless they want to keep getting official updates.

Before I go any further, I'm going to say that I watched the video again more closely and I noticed that the part between the press of the button and the main menu showing up was skipped with a quick fade, so that sort of disproves what I originally thought was an incredibly fast boot and skip of the warning screen which could only be done with a firmware hack.
