RE: Re: RE: March Break/Spring Break

After browsing the Sony website, on the forums, I found out that a lot of people are having PSP problems. Is anyone on these forums having the problem?

Maybe we should just have 1 thread about problems with the PSP, thanks.

And you know how many problems there are -- you'll be making tons of threads =O

Actually, the defect count (while still way too high) has drastically reduced for the US launch.

No defects here. It should also be noted that dead or stuck pixels are not a manufacturing error that Sony made. All TFT LCD screens are subject to a dead or stuck pixel. It is the manufacturing error of the LCD company (In the US, the case would be Samsung). Also, there have been far less real problems with the PSP's in the US. The main problem, and the problem you hear most about, is usually screen-related. Other than that, the [US] system is subject to much less manufacturing glitches than the [early] Japanese PSP's.

RE: Do I have a Dead Pixel on my PSP?

so are you saying that if you get a Dead Pixel, there is nothing you can do?

It depends on the number of dead/stuck pixels and their location. Sony won't take it back if you, say, have 1 or 2 dead/stuck pixels in the corner of your screen. However, if you have something like 5 dead/stuck pixels in the middle screen, that's something Sony will take action about. Other than that, if you didn't buy a warranty from the location in which you purchased your PSP, there's nothing more you can do.

RE: Anyone Have Problems With Their PSP?

You can only buy a warranty at the time of purchase. Well, unless otherwise stated by the retailer in which you purchased your PSP.
